I am gratitude for learning how to cook from both of my grandmothers and also my mom and dad at a young age. To this day I love cooking and baking for friends when we get together. I wish I had a bigger kitchen in our house but I make it work. we have a nice dining room and my grandmother would say to many cooks in the kitchen is not good.
Of course, baking for my clients is always fun and delivering them in December is always a drop by option to catch up with them. I had to limit baking for them because of covid but before that I bake and deliver 125 cookie tins. Love to see there smiles and always great when they call me back and ask for a recipe of two.
Of course in early September the peaches are perfect (most years) from the western slopes of Colorado area. So I get two bushes of peaches to make peach cobbler. Here is the picture of before and after for the peach cobblers. Of course they go to neighbors and some special clients. Of course, I do not eat all the cookies and cobbler or else I be putting on to many pounds.
My dad would love to love to add this and that to different recipes. His one recipe is Hamm's Beer cake. Made with Hamm's beer but I have a hard tike of finding that so I use Miller lite. I have a client that loss her husband last year and she loves that, so I have taken over 3 this year for her. She freezes them and eats them a little at a time, she calls me to come over and pick up the baking pan and lid, and always tell me, you can bring them when ever you want.
I guess, I learn lots from my family.
