Realtors, we all know that the market has shifted greatly over the past couple of months.
With nearly 20 years experience I have been through all types of market shifts. Over the past year and a half, prior to this shift, I had been warning Realtors especially newer agents that they need to prepare for when the market shifts. Sadly most did not listen, they were too busy landing 1,2,3, maybe 4 listings that sold in a couple of days or less for way over asking, then posting on social media how successful they were! Feeling like "this is easy, I am crushing it!"
These days most of those flash in the pan agents are wondering how they are going to pay uncle Sam and how are they going to pay their annual board fees?
All my social media, all my personal chats had fallen on deaf ears. For those of us who know how cycles work and have been through the battles know better, we stashed some money away for these rainy days, we had our marketing wheels in motion through the mad rush and we are still standing. We may not be setting record numbers but we planned for this cycle and we will make it through.
I congratulate those who planned for slower times and are still moving along, keep your head up and continue to win the battles, stay positive, we all know that the true professionals win in the end.
Remember, this is a business not a hobby and we always treat it as such to earn the status "Professional".
