Dorie Dillard Austin TX hi Dorie... we have similar climates, so no wonder outdoor staking venues are limited.

Joan Cox hi Joan... even though there was an ice skating rink in Central Park in NY City, and also one in Rockefeller Center, we never went ice skating when I was growing up.

Wow, Nina. The Charlotte area has a lot of outdoor rinks for ice skating. We used to go to one in Reston VA and loved it.

Nina no problem finding a place to ice skate around here.  The temperatures have dropped so much that very soon any puddle of water small or large will be frozen.

Endre Barath, Jr. good morning, Endre... I'm totally with you on that. I used to laugh when I first moved to Charlotte and people would say it's a cold day in February when the temperatures were 50 degrees. Now I'm one of them!

Hi Nina:

Wow, there are plenty of opportunities to be out and enjoy the colder weather on the ice in Charlotte. I haven't been on skates since I was a kid! The Light the Knights Festival sounds like fun.
