The Zoom call presentation of 11/22/22 was done by Kat Palmiotti and its focus was creating a Facebook Lifestyle Page.

Like many others that have presented calls on Facebook premonitions, Kat also offered her reasoning for trying to be just more noticeable in her market. Much of this was generated due to her arrival in the state from her former home in New York.

Facebook, among others offers opportunities to market ourselves and our businesses as well as maintaining a social platform for keeping up to date with family and friends. Keeping the lines separated makes it easier. Kat also felt that knowing more about her community and making it attractive to others would help many. To do this, she created a Lifestyle page.

Kat Palmiotti  Lifestyle Facebook PagesThe primary purpose was to get recognized as a member of the community as she was somewhat unknown having relocated. She chose to offer minimal about her real estate and focus on the community and its residents.

To get attention she started with Facebook ads, and this got her 1,500 followers.

Kat Palmiotti  Lifestyle Facebook PagesThe next part was what to promote in order to gain an audience. She started with topics that were known to her and may well have been a part of the reasoning that had her move there.

The interaction as a result of those first pages were the foundation to the cycle, she created of Lifestyles in the community.  Here categories were such that something would have to appeal to almost everyone.  She also created an Interactive series of posts titles Where Am I and used this to get local merchants involved. She would ask a merchant if they were ok with the post and then to take photos of something within the business that was recognizable to any that had visited yet not give away the details of the business. Each of these were rewarded with a coffee gift card.

Kat Palmiotti  Lifestyle Facebook PagesSo far, the page as gotten her up to 2,100 followers, and has allowed her to learn more about the community' This past month here audience shot up to over 5,000 engagements.

She does get some real estate questions, but so far, no hard business. She spoke of a reader that asked very specific question about a particular plot of land, that would have been a sale in the millions. he anticipates that she will eventually see rewards.

Kat Palmiotti  Lifestyle Facebook PagesShe has set a schedule where she posts 6 times a day and works off of a spread sheet she established.  

She has her posts set up on a scheduler. When she first started it took time to write and post and she estimated it was better than an hour. With frequency and efficiency, she spends about 15 minutes a day on the page. 

Where does she Get her information and ideas?

Kat Palmiotti  Lifestyle Facebook PagesShe sets up Google alerts with different titles relative to her area and waits to see what comes through. 

This has been effective as well as getting info from local business pages. Facebook pages that she has liked will also provided fodder for her posts.

 

Kat Palmiotti  Lifestyle Facebook PagesShe got her post scheduler and set it up with date, topic and time of day. She stays consistent with topics and times, and at the beginning of each week, she changes the date on the first box only and the rest of the dates change as well.

Again, she gets her post fodder from her Google alerts, etc.  If she has a listing that's what she would use as her home tour.  If she doesn't have anything of her own, she would just put-up a home or other photos she took.

With any type of Facebook page, she offered that one could access meta business. This starts by clicking the add Post icon on the page and the box similar to what is at the right will drop and then just add details for what and when it should be posted.

 

Kat Palmiotti  Lifestyle Facebook PagesThe Meta Business tool not only provides for scheduling, but it offers analytics, such as audience, days of best reactions, as well as number of likes/per day.

It does take effort to get started but once the dynamics have been overcome it does get simpler and less time consuming.

In time it will reap rewards as it will demonstrate to the audience your personality and as it is subtle marketing, people will recognize her as a local very qualified and personable real estate professional.

Kat Palmiotti has set up an awesome 'longer term' goal that will work out well for her and she's gotten to know and be the 'expert' in her area for so many topics - pretty amazing if you ask me!  Your recap Ed. made it easy for me to understand as unfortunately I wasn't able to attend. It all makes sso much sense to me!
