This Week…Family Fun and Finally Quiet
It’s been a busy week for many people and it’s not even over. My week was spent preparing for our Thanksgiving dinner with family.
All men's miseries derive from not being able
to sit in a quiet room alone. Blaise Pascal
We had about 30, which is average for a holiday dinner for us. A threatening tornado alert kept a few at home, and I can’t blame them.
I had my checklist of what I needed to make or do days leading up to Thanksgiving. And, at the last minute, I decided to put up some of my Christmas decorations including a small tree.
The monotony and solitude of a quiet life stimulates the creative mind.
Albert Einstein
Dinner was fun and we all enjoyed seeing each other. I don’t know about your family, but when we get together, everyone talks at the same time. We’re all catching up with each other.
Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.

Much as I loved having everyone over, I must admit that I looked forward to absolute peace and quiet today (Friday). Larry and I wanted to do only one thing…NOTHING.
The world is never quiet, even its silence eternally resounds with the same notes, in vibrations which escape our ears. As for those that we perceive, they carry sounds to us, occasionally a chord, never a melody. Albert Camus
Have a splendid weekend with all of the
peace and quiet that you want.
