My Tree is Up ~ Grateful for Good Friends

Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Realty ~ 512.750.6899

Recently I jammed my right arm and have been icing it and went to my massage therapist. It wasn’t a fun session and I’m not looking forward to the next visit on Friday. Meanwhile I wanted to get my Christmas tree up and decorated. My daughter fit together my new tree (it has 1,800 LED lights and a remote, which I love), the day before Thanksgiving so it could set for a day or two, relax and fall out. We had no time to think about decorating at that time!

Friday some good friends came over and literally decorated the tree for me as we drank wine, champagne and nibbled on appetizers. The star was put on the top and what a great job they did. I'm so grateful for them doing this, it helped not having to reach up to put on each ornament. I love putting them up because each ornament has a special memory and I like to savor the moment. They even brought me one to add to my tree!

Good morning Dorie. I have no talent for decorating a Christmas tree but I could be a participant in the consumption of adult libations. Enjoy your remote control.

That's a lot of lights, Dorie. I thought my tree with 400 lights had a lot of lights! So nice you had people who helped you get your tree up. I did all my Christmas decorating the past two days, including, two trees. Your post got me wondering what I would do if I had a physical issue keeping me from doing my own decorating... I never let anyone touch my Christmas decorations! Meantime, hope your arm feels better every day.

Hi Dorie,

I am sorry to hear about your arm, but massage therapy is a good thing. You did well to get your tree up and trimmed!  Congrats!  One more thing off the holiday "To Do" list!  Haha.  Helpful friends are a reason to celebrate.

Not sure when I will get around to a tree, but not this weekend for sure.  Like you I am sentimental over each ornament I hang on the tree.
