Is your phone ringing?

By
Real Estate Agent with Long and Foster Real Estate inc.

I am curious to know around the country how many are getting phone inquiries and how often.

In my office we split our time to share the responsibility of answering phones with the idea of getting the opportunity to help people list and buy homes.

More and more I am finding more luck with my personal phone and face to face interaction then I am with the office phone.  Are you finding the same?

There was a day when two agents would be scrambling to keep up with the inquiries; now many complain about the responsibility rather that fight for it.

Have you experienced the same?

Phones don't ring off the hook as often in a "suppressed market" time.     Better to be seen in coffee shops, in grocery stores, at the gym, at public meetings, at night school classes, at...out there, anywhere, and not in the office "waiting".

Oh yes.  The phones have slowed. BUT! What a great time to make your phone calls and other work to be done. It is a time you can set aside for those things and when a call comes in you are there. I find that many times when agents are fighting duty time they don't have a plan to fill that time with other productive activities that can't be done at the office. This is not criticism it is just food for thought. Use that duty time as an opportunity not a chore. You can do the things you need to do and also have the opportunity to get that call.

I wish you all the luck in the worls and have a great holiday.
