The Villages, Florida does it best to get the community into Christmas Spirit! Tree lighting, parades, special performances at The Sharon and performers of all types at each square! The Villages has three squares which are reminiscent of small town squares from the past with shops, restaurants and entertainment.
The fun begins at Brownwood Paddock Square with a tree lighting, live entertainment and street festival Saturday, November 26th. Brownwood is located at the southern end of this sprawling 140,000-person community.
Next is Lake Sumter Landing Market Square which is located in the heart of The Villages with tree lighting, Sheriff Department Toy Drive, with plenty of other entertainment on Tuesday, November 29th.
My home square Spanish Springs Town Square which serves the north end of The Villages has the most to offer this year, events happen on Friday, December 3rd! Every year The Villages has a Christmas Parade which being The Villages will feature decorated golf carts, marching bands, twirlers, drum corps and so much more in the past they hosted it at the polo grounds but this year it will on the streets around Spanish Springs. The parade starts at 3:00 with tree lighting and plenty of other activities to enjoy.
The festivities start at 4:00 pm and continue on until 9:00 pm with parade at 3:00. Dress appropriately has daytime highs in the mid 70’s and chilly evenings in the 60’s.
