The New Year is around the corner. Are you looking ahead yet?
Let’s ensure that 2023 get's started on the right foot! Here are five easy ways to jumpstart your New Year and build your momentum for many amazing years to come.
1. Choose Your Life Path
First, get clear on what you want out of life by writing in a journal. Then, write out your personal goal examples for the coming year and create a vision board with images that inspire you. This takes an afternoon, but the payoff is HUGE later, when you need an extra dose of motivation.
2. Try a Challenge to Jumpstart You
Next, grab a friend or your partner and complete a challenge in January together. Not only will it help you feel accomplished, but you’ll be able to take that momentum into the rest of the year.
- Meditate every day for 30 days
- Run every day
- Read for 10 minutes daily
- Write 3 things you are grateful for
- Purge for 10 minutes a day
3. Invest in You Most Important Asset (You)
Sign up for a 10K. Pay for 3 months of a meditation app. Book the trip. Or pay a neighbor kid to mow your lawn and free up your time to do something you love doing.
Make a list now of ways to put time, value, and energy back into your life. While some may cost a little money, you’ll find that the rewards drastically outweigh any upfront costs.
4. Plan Out Your Year
Now that you have ideas for self-investments, get it down on paper! Schedule in what’s most important to you FIRST. Then write appointments and events into your calendar so you don’t forget.
And if you're like me, you often don’t take enough breaks during the year unless you plan for them. So, do it!
5. Use Day 1 To Set The Tone For the Rest of the Year
Finally, use January 1st to get your mindset right for the year ahead. Eat healthy, get your sleep, and have a focused and fun day (Try these New Year's Trivia Quiz Questions to add in the fun). Think about what you want more of in the year ahead, and get started right away.
I’ll be using every single one of these tips to make my dreams a reality and add balance to 2023. What do you love to do at the beginning of a new year?
