So close to the 400k point mark

Hello,

I've been apart of ActiveRain since July 2006 as was around the 1,200th member. Back in those days I was far more active, no pun intended, blogging on the platform yet that changed when blogsites became a real estate agent standard.

It is funny to look back at the old posts and reflect at what may have been my mindset and goal in writing each blog post. Was it just to achieve points and rank high within Washington State or was it generate a back link to primary landing page, was it hiring agents for our office (we're a team and no longer a independent brokerage since 2010), or was it just for fun?

Whatever the reason, the last 16 years on the platform has gone by to fast. Friends I made in the Advanced Access forums are no longer in real estate, have retired, and shit ... even passed away.

Time will tell how the network evolves, grows, or changes around its users in the future and hope to be hear to watch. Even if participation is minimal when compared to far more active members.

Joan Cox - I always thought that AR was free-for-all for members who joined in the early years.  By the time, I joined in 2010, the 500K milestone number was magical and payments eventually stopped.

Hi Michael Jacobs accounts are free yet posts can't be public for all members unless they're subscribers. I could be wrong but that is my understanding.

Toby Barnett ActiveRain was born in June of 2006 so you were one of the very early members.  I joined not long after you in September of 2006.  Hopefully this comment gets you a little closer to the 400,000 point milestone.

Thanks George. You were early adopter as well and it was many moons ago. I was at the first AR meet up and it was a good time over beers and food in Seattle.
