Wordless Wednesday…It’s Not About the Size
Do you remember the first Christmas tree you bought? It seems that with each year and each new home our tree got bigger and bigger.
I’ll always remember, though, the first Christmas tree Larry and I had…I didn’t have to get on a stool to decorate the top of the tree!

This tree is at Kickerillo where we walk. I don’t know who decorates it or when it began but it represents what the holidays mean to me. |
My parent’s neighbor gave us two boxes of ornaments and I hand-painted small wooden ornaments I’d found at a craft store. It wasn't that we couldn’t afford to go out and buy decorations for the tree, we wanted to make it our own. I didn’t want to have a tree that looked as if it came out of a showroom.
Christmas isn’t about the size of your tree…it’s about the size of the heart that decorated it.
Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace and goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas.
Calvin Coolidge
He who has not Christmas in his heart will never find it under a tree.Roy L. Smith
What if Christmas, he thought, doesn’t come from a store. What if Christmas… perhaps… means a little bit more! Dr. Seuss, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
