Dorie Dillard Austin TX hi Dorie... I saw that post with your 1,800 light tree. I'm actually not that fond of prelit trees... the lights fail and then it's an issue getting them off the tree. I always prefer stringing my own.

George Souto Hi George... you won't get an argument from me on that. Those trees out of a box are way less work and way less messy!

I have to say that I am very surprised Nina Hollander, Broker as I don't think of your area as agricultural. I could not even direct you to a single tree farm in the Minot area BUT I am sure there are some. I hope we can go shop for mistletoe when I come by. 🥰

Bob "RealMan" Timm hi Bob... we still have quite a few farms within an hour of Charlotte, not just tree farms. They are disappearing over time as more people move here, but you don't have to go far to be in the "country."

Hi Nina- I've seen the Christmas tree farms here where you can cut down your own tree but I've never done that. It looks very special, though.

Kathy Streib hi Kathy... my own idea of fun is not to cut down trees. Now if someone wants to cut it for me that's a whole other story! :)

Hello Nina Hollander, Broker, Charlotte residents do have plenty of options. Christmas time is magical for sure. When I was very young, I would go with my dad to get a tree from a farm somewhere in Staten Island, those are great memories that I cherish.

Beth Atalay good morning, Beth... I also cherish many memories of Christmas from my childhood. Nothing to do with a tree... somehow my mother always got it into the house while we were asleep and we'd wake up to a beautiful tree. But I do remember going to see The Nutcracker at the NY City Ballet, walking up and down Fifth Avenue to see all the department store window displays, going to Rockefeller Center.

Nina Hollander, Broker - I am a believer that if a consumer must have a fresh cut Christmas tree, the best place to go is directly to a Tree Farm or somewhere with traditional credibility. Consumers in your area have excellent options.

Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP hi Patricia... this batch of tree farms I've highlighted have been doing business in the Charlotte area for decades. I've never been comfortable buying a tree from a roadside stand... you don't know where those trees came from or how long ago.

Nina Hollander, Broker - Agree. I would not pay cash to some roadside stand or worse pay with credit card or check. Charlotte has a nice selection! I hope everyone gets a tree this year.
