Assessment of Week 12

 

Last week my picks went 1-2, and every pick came down to the wire. The Ravens failed to hang on against the Jaguars, allowing a last-minute drive and two-point conversion to give the Jaguars the win. My Falcons failed to cover +4 against the Commanders, losing 19-13. For my sole win of the week, the Browns and Buccaneers went to overtime and the Browns were able to seal the game with a Nick Chubb touchdown. This week I’m continuing to find value where I see it and trying to beat the closing lines.

 

Dolphins +3.5 vs. 49ers (-110)

The Dolphins as underdogs? Sign me up. This is arguably a matchup of the best offense and the best defense in the NFL meeting each other, and I think Tagovailoa’s offense will be up for the challenge. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle vs. Charvarius Ward and Deommodore Lenoir is a legitimate mismatch, and I think the Dolphins will still be capable of a big play at any moment. Tagovailoa’s 91.1 PFF grade (2nd among quarterbacks) is indicative of his dominance, so I expect continued greatness.
