I stopped off at Allegiance Title on Friday morning and was surprised to see Santa Clause in one of the conference rooms. We had a nice visit.
The Flower Mound Tree Lighting Ceremony will be held in the evening on Saturday, 12/3/2022. What a surprise it was for me to see a different Christmas Tree lit up in the Mixed Use Neighborhood and also surprised nobody was standing by it having pictures taken or that nobody was taking carriage rides. I took a picture and isn't it lovely?
While driving and listening to the radio, the original Pink Panther song came on the air while passing by Chick-Fil-A. My eyes caught the sign reading Pink Peppermint Milkshake and like a force out of a science fiction movie something made me turn into the driveway, into the drive up window and order a Pink Peppermint Milkshake. It has been years since I allowed myself to have a Milkshake and I have to say, it tasted really good! Thankfully, while passing by the second sign I was reminded that it would be a good idea to make a list when I get home, but I was not about to circle the building to allow some force from nature to order fast food chicken. When it comes to marketing during the holidays, it's a good idea to have self-control!
About midway between Chick-Fil-A and home, I passed the street called Lake Flower. At the end of the street in the cul-de-sac is a house that used to belong to my friends. I was always invited over for a Christmas Open House the week before Christmas. I sold their home in 2018. Lots of people came to the previous owner's annual Christmas Open House and those were fun holidays. When I listed the property for sale, I put current photos into the MLS but inside I displayed lots of photos I took over the years with Christmas Decorations and told stories about the history and reputation the house had that was affectionately called the Christmas House and/or the Ginger Bread House.
For some strange reason, something got a hold of me again and I turned down the street and saw the house I sold all lit up and thought the new owners did a lovely job keeping up with the Christmas House Tradition. While sucking through my straw drinking my pink Peppermint Milkshake, I reminisced, thinking about Christmas past with the other people and took notice a tree was cut down out front but happy to see they kept the theme going using candy canes going up the stairs, lights around the front lawn, decorated windows on the first and second floor, I saw something different on the gate with the remote control that goes into the backyard. I really liked that they used America Flag Lights to string through the iron gate. Tonight, I am going to write a letter to the new owners to let them know how much I appreciated what they did and seal the envelope with approval. I hope they write back!
Tomorrow night is the official lighting of the Tree by the Town of Flower Mound at the Recreational Center. I hope to be surprised again! Happy Holidays everyone. Enjoy the magic and may you experience many happy surprises too!
