Where are the 55+ Active Communities on the East Side of Denver

If you are looking for a 55+ active community, on the East side of Denver, you have four options with different price points.   In each of these communities, there are planned events and day trips.

Windsor Gardens - East Denver

This community of condos is located off Alameda and Dayton in Denver 80247.   You will find 1-3 bedroom condos most with balconies/lanais and some are enclosed.   These condos were built from 1962 to 1972.    Today, the average sales price is $272,000.    There are currently 28 units available from $165,000 to $409,000.

The HOA fee includes heat, insurance for the building, grounds maintenance, water/sewer, snow removal, trash/recycling, and there is a clubhouse, fitness center, golf course, and a community pool.

Heather Gardens - Aurora

This community has high-rise condo buildings, 3-story buildings, and townhomes South of Yale East of I-225 Aurora, CO 80014.   You will find 2-3 bedrooms and they were built from 1973 to 1983.   Today, the average sales price is $303,554.   There are currently 27 units available from $210,000 to $474,900.

The HOA fee varies depending on where you purchase within Heather Gardens.   Most include grounds maintenance, trash/recycling, water/sewer, and snow removal.   There is underground parking in the high-rise towers.   There is a clubhouse, community pool, hot tub, fitness center, and golf course.

Heritage Eagle Bend - Aurora

This community offers townhomes, paired homes, and single-family homes off Gartrell and Aurora Parkway in Aurora CO  80016.    You will find 2-4 bedrooms and these properties were built from 2000-2018.   Today, the average sales price is $616,457.   There are currently 5 properties available from $639,000 to $949,900.

The HOA fee varies depending on if the property is multi-family or single-family, but the amenities include grounds maintenance, the community is gated with 24/7 security, state of the arts Clubhouse with a restaurant, fitness center, golf course, tennis courts, and a community pool.

Inspiration - Aurora

This is the newest 55+ active adult community and offers single-family homes in Aurora CO  80016.   These properties have 2-4 bedrooms, and the properties do have basements, but most are not finished.   They have 2-4 car garage spaces.  There is still construction happening, but the community began in 2016.   Today, the average sales price is $738,722.   There are currently 5 properties available ranging from $787,360 to $1,110,690.

the HOA fee includes grounds maintenance of common areas, trash/recycling, snow removal, and has a clubhouse, fitness center, park, tennis courts, trails, and a community pool.

The Denver area offers some great options of 55+ home buyers. We have similar offerings throughout California. Some offer lots of extras such as indoor and outdoor pools, wine clubs, travel office, special kitchen in the clubhouse for lesson or special dinners, bocce ball, golf, putting greens and lots of other stuff.
