Friday Fun…Decorations Anyone?

We have returned to simple decorations with no lights and just one tree. The tree has three themes, Swedish, German (nutcrackers) and Western. I also have table cloths for the Christmas Season and New Years.

HI Kathy... do I go all out? Is the Pope Catholic? Two-6 foot trees are in my home. Windows decorated with sparkling lights. Two little trees with lights outside my front door. Christmas wreaths inside and outside, angels, and more all around my home. Everything was put up right after Thanksgiving and will stay up until Epiphany.

Hello Kathy - while I have never gone "all out" Christmas decorating-wise, I enjoy seeing the creativity of others.  I remain just as glad that I haven't trimmed a tree for years (or packed it away afterwards either) although I have some memories that haven't been chopped down yet.  

I definitely go the minimal route and it has been minimized over the years to nothing at all, haha.  I hear that I have a tree that came in the mail that I might have to setup when I get back home though.

I love to decorate for Christmas and have a 7.5' tree with 1,800 sparkling white lights that make all my crystal ornaments shimmer! Each ornament has a special significance and I enjoy putting up each one..so many fond memories! I do have lights up outside but not near the amount we use to put up. I have special Santa's and a small table top tree in my office. I get everything up the day after thanksgiving and don't like to take down until after New Years day. 

Kathy, definitely have minimal decor, the cats have already done some damage.

We are way behind having just got back from honeymoon. On top of that I got covid this week, so it looks like this weekend we are not going anywhere so we will have time to decorate the house. We bought some gnomes in Iceland this year, so they will definitely be out along with the tree. Being in a new home we have to decide where everything is going to go. A fun time.

I am more of a minimalist. My primary decoration is my many nutcracker collection. I do love visiting people who go all out. There are many people in the park in Yuma where I am now that have decorated the outside of their homes. That's fun.

Hi Kathy - this might be one of those years where I don't put up as many decorations.  My daughter, selling her house, has minimal.

Christmas decorations are beautiful and I love seeing the lights driving around neighborhoods at night! However I agree-- have seen fewer and fewer outside lights recently it seems

Good Morning Kathy on this beautiful Friday! I am all into decorating for the Christmas Season and have been my whole life.  My Mom got me hooked at a young age and it kind of became 'my thing' from then on (with her help)! I took a few photos last night and will share them later today. That is if they turned out ok!

We have had the Christmas tree up since just after Thanksgiving, and my outside decorations were up early as well.

Hello Kathy.  All in here.  I tend to be partial to 'Frosty'.  This is but a little of the park and these are up the day after Thanksgiving.  Enjoy the weekend.

I have many decorations we have purchased on vacations or mountain town visits over the years. At Tlaquepaque in Sedona,  there is a permanent Xmas store.  I love to go in there and purchase ornaments.  Also, I love unique Hallmark ornaments. 

This year we decided to buy a Balsam Hill tree.  It is 4.5 feet high and sits on a coffee table.  It comes in 2 sections and goes up in about 5 minutes!  (That is the part I  love!)

My ornaments go way back to the 1960s. You can see in the picture below, some of the other decorations. They are everywhere, but my tree has always been my favorite showcase.  I decorate it with Tristan and Rick helps too!  

Kathy with no little ones around any more we have cut back on the decorations, but my wife still loves to decorate for Christmas so our house will still have some Christmas cheer.

Kathy, life, real estate, and the weather has prevented me from doing anything outside the house... all goes well tomorrow evening I will be finished with the inside decorations... and hopefully start the outside.... all the neighbors are anxiously waiting for me to do the outside decorations:)Endre

I'm so far behind on Christmas decorating, that I fear I'll never catch up.  But, I got a lot of gift shopping done today however.  And, I never got out of my pajamas to do it!  Thank you Amazon!🙃

I don't decorate as much as I used to in my larger homes...a few holiday art pieces on the walls and the tree of course. I decorate the bookcases with some holiday pieces and have some Christmas pillows on the loveseat. 

A wreath on the door is all I did outside this year.
