Well maybe not a grove but they are my pineapple plants. A neighbor turned me on to growing pineapples, one day she brought me a pineapple which I thought was strange, people don’t normally give pineapples away. She explained she grew it and we walked to her house to see her grove, maybe 15 plants. It was a great tasting pineapple so I decided to start my own grove. At first glance it just looks like a green plant you would find in a flower bed.
Pineapple plants are easy, you cut the tops off, put in water for a month then plant in dirt. I never researched how to grow them my neighbor explained the process. Today I did research how to grow and according to some I did it wrong buy hey, they are growing! My neighbor told me the first pineapple will take 3 years then you can expect another in about 2 years.
Currently they are in pots until my addition is completed due to construction and then will find a home in my yard. I kind of like being a pineapple farmer as I don’t do anything for years!
