Speechless Sundays - More Twinkling White Lights

Anna Banana Kruchten Phoenix Broker shared her love for little white lights during the holidays in last month's challenge. I have joked for years that lights make me happy - glorious light fixtures, twinkling white lights, colored lights...just lights in general!  In fact, we use Alexa to turn on our evening twinkling lights - "Alexa, turn on happy lights." If you ever visit us, just try it and see what happy lights illuminate for the season!

This season, we have several trees, moose, china illuminating lights and lights outdoors by the lake. Yes, they truly make me happy. Don't ask me why but, like Anna, I LOVE LIGHTS!

Good morning Debe,

I love twinkling lights too! They just make me happy!! I got a new tree this year..it is still a 7.5 foot tree but has 1,800 twinkling lights that really make my glass ornaments sparkle!! I have a remote so at a touch my lights are glimmering!

I did - much to Ray's dismay, Kat Palmiotti! It's not that they bother him - he just thinks it's a lot of work for me. I contend that it's worth the time investment to enjoy them for the entire month!

I'll share my interior trees here too, Michael Jacobs! The one you can see in the sunroom is our oldest tree and this may be its last year. It's blue and sheds little blue tinsel all season long! LOL

Looks so pretty Debe!  Love it!  My love of tiny little lights started when I was a kid.  My Mom always had some little lights on and well as candles and the fireplace. Just a peaceful, quiet place to be (and that was with 7 siblings).  I think she used the lights to keep things calm on purpose!!  Smart lady!

Oh my gosh, me too, Anna Banana Kruchten Phoenix Broker but, it was my Dad who had the passion for tiny lights and keeping the fireplaces going (real wood, of course)!

I remember my mom asking him one time why he needed more lights for the tree and he said, "You can never have too many lights!" I may have used those words a time or two on Ray! LOL

HaHa! Someone asked me yesterday if I hire someone to put my lights up and I shared that I add them a little at a time. By the end of the month, the house is dreamy - just in time for Christmas. If I hired that out, I would keep having to pay a 'service' fee each visit! LOL

I have no idea why I am being notified of this on 1/1/23 but, thank you for your comment, Grant Schneider! We've been working on this for the past year and finally have out 'smart' plugs all set. It's so simple now - you will LOVE it!
