After an early morning visit to the CalFit Health Club spa to marinate, I arrived back home as the sun was rising. We had heavy weekend rains in Sacramento. But, today it was all about the blue sky.
After sipping a cup of tea with a biscuit, I went outside, and raked leaves in my backyard. A large branch from a neighbor's tree had blown off during Saturday's storm. My trusty chainsaw took care of it in short order. And, I cleaned up the rest of my yard from the storm.
I was wondering why I was so hungry until I glanced at the clock, and it informed it was 1:30 p.m. I wandered indoors, and fried up these three small Tilapia fillets - Cajun style. After adding mashed potatoes and a little salad to the plate, I wandered out to the "party fridge" in my garage to find something to drink. I located this single can of Peanut Butter Milk Stout. Awhile back, I had been given it to try, and I'd forgotten about it.
I must say I found it delightful. You can definitely taste the peanut butter flavor with the brew. And, while peanut butter and ale may sound funky, it really was a fusion of fun taste.
The brew is produced by Belching Beaver Brewery. It boasts, "Dam Good Times." It warns that lactose is inside. So, if you are lactose intolerant, this brew may not be for you!
