Good morning Kathy,

I love the Storm Trooper sitting in the back seat!! Hilarious! Yesterday at the grocery store I saw a mom walking out with her 5 or 6 year son dressed as bat man with his cape and mask on! I looked at her and smiled and she just rolled her eyes! Loved it!!

Good morning, Kathy... can't say I see many decorated cars in the Charlotte area. The occasional antlers or wreath attached to the bonnet. I love the picture of that highly decorated car... although, I don't know that I'd have the nerve to do that to my own car.

Why didn't you go talk with the storm trooper and ask him what he was doing in town?

I love that car with the Santa hat on it. I would love to see that live!

If we pay attention, there is always something new to see and experience, even on the same route every day.  We need to look up and down and all around. When I got into macro photography some years ago, it was fascinating to notice the minute details of nature that God has created.

Great photos and for me being "whimsical" is just enjoying and appreciating life.

I, too, walk everyday Kathy. No matter how pressed for time I am, I must move my body. I don't feel right when I don't. Too often I get lost in my thoughts though - especially when I take the familiar route, it's on autopilot - and I lose out on the whimsy. Perhaps a goal for 2023, to be more aware of my surroundings.

Ha! You are right- we have to keep our eyes open, even on our well worn walking paths. You never know what you might come across. I also love those antlers + red nose for the car  - they look adorable!

LOL!  Those are great shots!  We took Tristan down to Scottsdale to see the Fairmont Princess  Christmas event.  There was a car with Elves legs hanging out the trunk, and he got very upset.  We had to explain that they were just Xmas decorations!  

Kathy you better start bringing your lightsaber along with you on your walks ...... LOL

Kathy, who could possibly get bored with all that kind of action going on.  lol

There is so much whimsey around us each and every day that goes, well, not unnoticed but not appreciated. Thank you for the reminder to appreciate the whimsical.

Oh walks are never boring to me Kathy!  Always something fresh and new to enjoy and breathe in or see!  Around the holidays about 1/4 of the way up the mountain there is a tree that gets decorated by local hikers.  It's kind of like - WOW - you turn the corner and there it is.  Certainly a nice surprise for our winter visitors in Phoenix.  I've left many a decorations up there over the years.  Fun!

One of my favorite traits in people is a good sense of humor!
