Isle Be Back. . .

Isle Be Back

Shopping on That Pondering Aisle

And Wondering About

Song Titles That Start With "I'll". . .

Some background: As often mentioned in and outside ActiveRainLand, year-end is on the minds of many of us these days.  I admit to participating. Although this final month of 2022 may be half-over, in some respects there’s still a lot going on.

Exit interviews for some and orientations set to start for others. Business, new and ongoing, continues.  As do many activities with reasons to celebrate as well as moments to remember.  All sorts of things seem to be a part of that trajectory.

And speaking of trajectories, some things seem to occur overnight even as their road to being discovered has been a much longer path.

Evidence of this phenomenon may be viewed as widespread although I typically refrain from such hyperbole. Proper Preparation and Planning plus lots of time is also part of "overnight sensation" examples. Things-in-process can be seen and unseen.

Meanwhile, I digress.  And if you care to wander in and wonder - please do.  If you can think of a favorite song title that starts with "I'll" (Isle or Aisle, too) - I'll be reading. . .

Hello, Michael Jacobs. It appears that most of the songs have already been mentioned above, but my favorite this time of the year is "I'll Be Home for Christmas". It really put you in mind for the Christmas Spirit.

Jerry Newman - the mindset can be influenced by what is happening around us.  And that particular tune seems to be omnipresent.  In ActiveRainLand and in many other places too.

The song may sound like "I'll" for someone with missing teeth:

Hi Michael- I'll Be Home for Christmas first came to mind as well as the song "I'll Be Seeing You" and though not a song the phrase from The Terminator "I'll Be Back"

And now, I'm off to search for more songs that begin with "I'll..."

Kathy Streib - the possibilities are endless with many songs, sayings and quotes, movies as well as memorable lines and catch phrases that capture our attention.  I enjoy the comments where members share what sparks ideas for them.  Thanks for adding your Arnold recollection.

Hi Michael,

I was trying to find a song that nobody had on the list. I came up with "I'll Be Seeing You" from 1938.  As I started to post, I noticed that Kathy had it on her list!  Oh well!  I'll have to try a little harder.  haha

BTW - I googled the Alphabetical Song list - I didn't see any songs starting with "Aisle" or "Isle".

Sheri Sperry - MCNE® - thinking of song titles has never been my strong suit but I do like some guessing games.  Good luck as you find additional solutions.   Maybe the theme song from Gilligan's Island can offer some inspiration too.  🤣 Well, kinda.

Michael Jacobs - When it comes to Christmas, of course I'll be Home for Christmas pops into my head automatically. Another one that comes to mind at many old weddings or anniversaries is I'll Always Love you.

As far as quotes go, I'll be back," by Arnold Schwdistinctivearzenegger in the Terminator. Even the tone of Arnold's words is distinctive!

I am not worthy of the Bing Crosby aficionados but I do like that song. When I was in the Navy I spent 4 Christmases in a row and I would hear this song being played on the ship 🎅

When I read your title, my mind went to Fair Isle sweaters!! Of course, "I'll be Home for Christmas" and Jackson-5's "I'll be there."

Happy New Year, Michael!
