Friday Fun…Name Your Cookie!!!
Ohh…I love this time of year and one tradition that Larry and I both love…baking (and eating) Christmas cookies!!!
This week I made 2 dozen small Holiday Carrot-Raisin cakes that I’ve given out for over 30 years. When I began making them, they didn’t even have Cuisinarts so I had to shred the carrots using a cheese grater!
I know many of you don’t bake (yes, you Nina Hollander, Broker!!!) but I ask you..what is your favorite Christmas cookie(s)?
Me? I absolutely love Spritz cookies, Iced Sugar cookies, gingerbread cookies, and Mexican Wedding Cookies.
As a kid, I left out a plate of cookies for Santa along with a calendar with my birthday circled on it. I have no idea why I did that but…I did.
In Delray Beach, a group of us had a cookie exchange party at the beginning of December. Two rules…they had to be homemade and NO chocolate chip cookies. One year, and I’m not kidding, we must have all been drunk when we made our batches because all of the different cookies were just awful!!!
