Hello Joe - "poison" is an interesting choice of words.  As is "influencing".  Both may lead a conversation in a certain direction.  If that conversation eventually becomes meaningful - I might consider that to be a successful connection.  Or at least on its way. . .

I don't watch a ton of HGTV myself, but I imagine what's reflected is not always an accurate portrayal of real life...

Same with me Lise. People always ask me if I watch HGTV ... I work 12-14 hours per day, I don't need "more" real estate than that.

I'm not prone to watching HGTV, but I agree with you about how rapidly updated homes seem to once again become outdated.  And, the older we get, the shorter that time between updates seems to get!🙂
