207 E Center

Built in 1907 and probably elegant.....now history.

This home at 207 E Center, located behind the old historic Rendezvous, is going down.  This picture came from the court house information.  It seemed to have out-of-town owners who didn't take care of it and did for care for it so it was in such bad shape that it had to come down.  Most interesting is that it was once the framing studio of Terry Williams, Searcy's fantastic artist and framer.  Terry did beautiful duck prints that can be found all over town including my house.

Here is one of the house going down on December 20 2022.  I got one last glance and said my good-bye.

Hello Barbara - change is constantly among us.  Sometimes it is a good thing, other times not-so-good.  Hopefully, there is a good reason.  We can always hope.

It's kind of sad when we see old historic buildings bite the dust for what is supposed to be something new and better.  I belong to the Sacramento History Facebook Group.  We talk about that all the time.
