Happy 1st Birthday, Liam!

Today, we spent a good part of the day with our oldest son, his wife, their adorable son (our grandson) and about 30 other friends and family. We all gathered to celebrate the first birthday of our first grandbaby, Liam. 

My daughter-in-law is Argentinian and her family is simply amazing! What I love the most about them is that they believe that family is FIRST, just as we do. I have to say that their family focus was so incredibly evident during our celebration and my heart smiled the entire time! 

And, speaking of Argentina - another thing that they are remarkable at doing is cooking. We all brought dishes and I was asked to bring extra sides because my daughter-in-law's family typically was 'heavy on the meats' dishes. BOY, were they ever heavy on the meats...but, the food was AMAZING! We wished today that we had a weekly 'celebration' with Natasha's family - they are top-chef level cooks - all of them. For this foodie and incredibly proud Mimi, it was a fabulous birthday celebration!! 

Happy First Birthday, Liam. Your Mimi & Deda LOVE you more than words can say! 💙

It's common to discuss the speed of time but it seems especially true when it comes to the rapid growth of young children.  Happy Birthday, Liam.  Great photo.

Congratulations!  I am so happy for you.  I only have one grandchild and I remember how important that 1st birthday was.  As Liam gets older, you will create so many wonderful memories with him.  There is nothing better than a grandchild and watching Liam discovery the world.

Thank you, everyone for your sweet comments. I just received a notification from the 14th and hadn't seen any of them until now! The time was midnight on a Sunday and bright and early the next morning is when my Daddy called me home to say good-bye to my Mom.
