For FREE? For REALS?!
Ever get reeled in with a slick sales spiel, offering shiny, pie-in-the-sky promises that turned out to be a vacuous exaggeration, lacking viable results? In other words, it was a 'too good to be true' scenario.
I have, and received an email from a national real estate-driven web site offering services for *FREE! Can you believe that? I didn't either, which is why I reported it as spam and blocked their messages.
Early in my career, in a down market, peddlers came out of nowhere. Sketchy sales tactics were commonplace, demanding attention, pushing an agenda to be sure they remained in business, at whatever cost.
It pays to be careful when being sold on something that screams:
- 💥 YOUR LAST CHANCE !!! 💥
- ‼️ MUST ACT NOW ‼️
- ⏰ FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY!!! ⏰
These are considered high pressure sales tactics, designed to tap into the inner-need or want emotions of the audience, encouraging a very quick decision, whether a right fit or good buy for the person.
Some opportunists play on the 'Fear OF Missing Out' tendency in a lot of people which is associated with a fear of regret or afraid that by not participating is a wrong choice. It works and the buyer gets reeled in!
Take time to research products, software, systems, coaching and business solutions prior to getting sucked into the hard-sell world. Soon enough, you'll know what is real and what is fake or worth the investment.
For Reals!!!
