State-of-the-Art Los Angeles Football Stadium Plans

Professional Football teams have come and gone through Los Angeles, leaving behind nothing more than a faded memory. For one developer, they left a little more behind, the desire to create a place where an NFL team can call Los Angeles home. In fact Edward Roski has plans to build a "state-of-the-art" stadium for such a team in the City of Industry. The details of the plan throw around millions of dollars of land with no qualms, and seems to be a good deal for both the city and the developers (Stadium holds many benefits for Industry, Pasadena Star News). But, how will this affect Los Angeles and nearby cities like Pasadena. Yes, it will bring in money, create jobs, and fair well for the City of Industry, but on the flip side, think of driving down the 110 after a Lakers game lets out or a USC football game ends. Good luck moving, the traffic and congestion are incredible. The 210, although it has its moments of traffic, typically flows more than the infamously packed freeways like the 110, 10, and 405. The Rose Bowl is right in the heart of Pasadena and creates quite a bit of traffic when there are events, more so for homes in the Pasadena areas. It will be difficult to really play out the costs, due to the many benefits, but do we really need another team that takes us to the National Championship games and loses? Maybe.
