Grand Junction is the Heart of the Grand Valley

Grand Junction is in Mesa County and the population of the entire county is 157,987, while the city population is about 65,000.  The city lies at the junction of the Colorado and Gunnison Rivers.

Grand Junction has a small town feel with the advantages of a larger city.  Housing offers choices from condos, townhomes, subdivisions, custom homes and homes on acreage.  Luxury upscale homes in the Redlands area with the Colorado National Monument as the dramatic backdrop is very popular with new residents.

Buyers deciding on a specific area to live have a range of choices within a 25-mile radius.  Grand Junction, Fruita, Palisade, Clifton, the Redlands, Orchard Mesa, East Orchard Mesa, Loma and Mack are some of the areas from which to choose.

When you visit Grand Junction, it is easy to see why people, especially the over 55 buyers are choosing to relocate to Grand Junction. The climate provides more than 280 days of sunshine a year, low humidity, little snowfall (less than 20 inches a year) and endless opportunities to hike, mountain bike, camp, river raft, and golf. 

Another amenity for residents is the wine industry and fruit orchards in nearby Palisade.  Palisade has more than 25 wineries, the famous "Palisade Peaches", and the best Sunday Farmers Market on the Western Slope.  Palisade is known as the "Peach and Wine Capital of Colorado!

Hello Sandra... I was in Grand Junction only once, to attend the graduation of one of our grandsons from Colorado State. He loved his time in Grand Junction and I liked what I saw of the city that weekend.
