SpaceX Falcon Heavy launch 1-15-23
SpaceX will attempt to launch its Falcon Heavy rocket from Kennedy Space Center today at 5:56pm from Launch Pad 39A. The launch was originally scheduled for yesterday at about the same time but was delayed until this evening.
There is a 90% chance of good weather at launch time. It is currently 58* and breezy here on the Space Coast so dress warmly if you plan to view the launch in person.
Expect to hear the double sonic booms approximately eight (8) minutes after liftoff when the side boosters land at Landing Zone 1 and 2 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
Sunset will be at 5:48pm this evening and should provide a beautiful background for the launch. Be sure to bring your camera to capture the moment.
