Asian New Year It is celebrated with festive gatherings, firecrackers and special foods and traditions in Asian countries from China and Japan to Vietnam and Korea and Asian cultures throughout the world. January 22, 2023 is the beginning of Lunar New Year, also known as Chinese New Year, Asian New Year and the Tet Festival.
Each year celebrates one of twelve animals (ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, ram, monkey, rooster, dog, pig or rat). It also features one of five elements (air, earth, fire, metal or water).
The year 2023 is the year of the water rabbit. The rabbit represents peaceful and patient energy. The water element represents intuition and inner peace. It is a good year for diplomacy in building relationships, and using one's intuition. It's also a time of opportunities and good luck.
