A Journey Starts with One Step
I am often inspired by things around me, quotes I see, conversations I have, and something I experienced.
I saw this quote on Facebook this afternoon and it reminded me of a young man that I helped purchase his first home. I met him in a homebuyer education class that I co-presented. No one in his family had ever owned a home before. He was a young African American man raising his son by himself and he didn't make a lot of money but he knew he wanted a better life for his 3-year-old son. He could afford a monthly payment of $500.
How would you know you couldn't afford to buy a home if you never talked to a Realtor or a Loan Officer? How would you know the steps you needed to take to one day own a home?
What if I told you that you didn't need to have 20% for your downpayment?
What if I told you that you only needed $1,000 of your own money to buy a home?
It's only impossible if you don't take the first step.
