Top 7 Interior Design Trends for 2023

Real Estate Broker/Owner with Arizona Resource Realty BR518926000

What's trendy speaks to our aesthetic sensibilities as well as how we want to live. Trends frequently indicate a consistent shift toward a new way of life. However, regardless of how practical the interior design trends of 2023 are, they will satisfy even the most ardent aesthetes. Life is full of flux and change. As a result, we can anticipate what's new and exciting with each passing day. And in 2023, we can expect to see interior design trends that excite us with the unknown. However, some contemporary design style ideas simply refine and strengthen what the design world is currently loving. In any case, ethereal spaces are set to outperform what has come before.

  1. Mixed Eras

Mixing pieces from the past and present is a recent trend that will become even more popular in 2023. A home that incorporates antiques creates a well-designed and thoughtful space. Take advantage of the opportunity to visit vintage stores or use items passed down from family members. This trend also refers to the use of high/low design in a home, which means that there will be a mix of price points throughout. And how exciting to consider passing on our special pieces to the next generation?

  1. Focus On Wellness

Wellness has become a hot topic in recent years. One of the keys to improving well-being is self-care. However, an environment that promotes healthy living can also make a significant difference. In fact, wellness design can help people slow down and practice mindfulness. As a result, we can perform at our peak. So, in the coming months, you can expect to see innovation foster beautifully healthy spaces.

  1. Workplace with Flair

The workplace has been redefined, whether at home or in an office. However, it is only recently that these spaces have seen highly personalized designs. Elements that make work more comfortable may be included in the office. The workspace gets a happy makeover, from furniture design to layout to indoor turf, to increase its use and employee productivity. And, if you work from home, this includes customizing the interior to your exact specifications.

  1. Enhanced Home Multifunction

Interior design trends in 2023 will almost certainly support multifunctional homes. Bespoke interiors will accommodate both everyday activities and entertainment and exercise. They fill the void left by situational isolation. As a result, the number of opulent movie and game rooms, gyms, and saunas will undoubtedly increase.

  1. Maximize Natural Light

The more we learn about what improves human performance, the more we'll see those elements in interiors - wherever possible. One aspect emphasized in current and upcoming designs is natural light. With large, bare windows, whites, and reflective surfaces, there's a renewed emphasis on maximizing natural light. So why not? Natural light can help us sleep better, focus better, and feel better. It also aids in the production of vitamin D!

  1. Gentle Gold

Earthy and unobtrusive. Warm but gentle gold will usher in a more organic version of gleaming metallics. It is inspired by the richness of a golden hue as well as the groundedness of a sandy tone. Furthermore, it resembles the beautiful desert landscapes at sunset. As a result, it will complement any desert-modern aesthetic. It will also be a welcome substitute for and complement to traditional neutrals.

  1. Entertaining-Focused Design

It's time to make up for the years we didn't get to spend with family and friends. This attitude will undoubtedly influence how we design our homes. Gatherings will be the focus of design in the coming year, as we strive to prioritize rest and wellness. This entails slowing down and enjoying the relationships in our lives, all while using easily washable materials to make life easier for everyone in the home. Why stress about red wine spills when you can relax and enjoy wine and cheese night with your besties?

Refresh Your Home with 2023 Trends

It's one thing to admire tomorrow's trends; it's quite another to incorporate them in an appropriate manner. Fortunately, the interior design ideas listed above can assist you in creating a timeless interior.

well written.. seems the Gold color is making a comeback... and like how you described it as a "gentle gold"... which is not the same as the shiny gold we say in the 1980's homes where I am.

Hello Tamra,  I am interested in seeing where the movie industry goes.  Big 'BIG' screen TV's very affordable and the cost of going to a movie with popcorn and a drink astronomical.  The combination entertainment rooms should continue in popularity.  m
