Friday Flags  A Waterbury CT Flag Waving Proudly

There is a cemetery directly across the street from our office.  There is a flag there, but it is sheltered by several large trees, so it is very seldom doing anything other than just on the pole.

Yesterday was a different story as the wind direction was perfect and my timing likewise.

I try to be observant while doing my routines, but I do not see many flags aside from residential properties. I wonder if the business owners would rather be in some other country.  I will keep a mental note of that when I look for goods and services in the future.

Great picture Ed Silva . I know what it is like to wait for the right moment to shot a picture of a flag. Once I was trying to get both the US and our State flag in action, both side by side in a sheltered area... I must have shot 20 to 40 pics to get one. Thank god for digital photography... it would have cost a fortune in film otherwise.

I have noticed several flags flying in our neighborhood, we have not got around to purchasing a new flag pole and flag since we moved, but it is on the list. I was not happy with the last one as the pole rusted very quickly so need to find something better this time.
