Welcome to the Copper Canyon neighborhood on the West side of Murrieta in southwest Riverside County!
Copper Canyon is a well established neighborhood on the West side of Murrieta, nestled at the base of the Santa Rosa Plateau. It's a neighborhood of approximately 400 homes built by a number of builders between 1995 and 2005.
SIZE - The homes range in size from small starter homes are approximately 1500 square feet all the way up to what we call the McMansion just about 4000 square feet.
SCHOOLS - Most Murrieta schools are great across the board, however a lot of folks like the idea of going to Cole Canyon Elementary, and again that's the assigned school for Copper Canyon.
HOA - stands for homeowners association; that's a group of individuals that live in the neighborhood and enforce the CC&Rs - the covenants conditions and restrictions - so a homeowners association is all the owners contributing a little bit of money every month to enforce the CC&R's. There is no HOA in Copper Canyon so that's a good thing if you don't like HOA's; if you like HOA's, then that's a bad thing.
PRIDE OF OWNERSHIP - When you drive through the neighborhood, you'll see that there's lot of pride of ownership and it does not appear that there's any strange things going on in the neighborhood with regard to paint, up-keep or landscaping, that sort of thing.
GATED? - Is the community gated? No, it's not gated. There's no homeowners association; it's ungated.
LOCATION - Copper Canyon is close to shopping at Ralph's a couple minutes away, as well as lots of nationwide stores about ten minutes away like Target, Best Buy, Lowe's, Home Depot and Walmart.
This neighborhood surrounds and is connected to Cole Canyon Elementary, as well as both Thompson Middle and Murrieta Valley High about a mile away. It’s five minutes to the freeway at Clinton Keith. If you commute to San Diego its about an hour or if you work in Orange County or even in LA (some do that commute) this is really a beautiful bedroom community.
