Tuesdays Treasures…Baking and Sharing
It shames me to admit it, but Larry is a better baker than I am. Granted, he has had the benefit of my coaching as well as his own private kitchen fairy to clean up but, yes, he is.
I've come to the conclusion that the difference is he actually follows the recipes! LOL
Last week, Larry made one of my favorites… Cranberry-Pistachio biscotti. We kept some for ourselves and shared them with friends and family.
They’re good plain but we often drizzle white chocolate (which really isn’t chocolate) on them. They are then bagged and given to some friends and family members.
I love cooking and baking and when possible sharing with others. And the way I look at it, it’s a way to spread the calories. Now that’s a good thing.
Baking is cheaper than therapy.
The more you know, the more you can create.
There’s no end to imagination in the kitchen.
I bake because punching people is frowned upon.
Michael Jacobs My mother baked far better than she cooked. My grandmother could do it all. Sadly on my Sister-in-law's side of the family, no one cooks. I think one of the reasons I love making soup, for example, is because it makes me feel like I'm really creating something.
