Tuesdays Treasures…Baking and Sharing

Hello Kathy - it's interesting, to me, to see skills explored.  My sister has said on more than one occasion that she doesn't identify as great in the kitchen.  Neither would my mom - and I don't remember going to my mom's mom house for anything special that had been cooked or baked.  

On the other hand, my sister has two daughters - both adults now.  One is good at baking.  The other prefers cooking.  One prefers a scientific approach; the other is more creative.  I can see why Larry might like baking for that reason too.  But what do I know?  

Only way I can cook is to think of it as chemistry and follow everything to a tee.

Guess it's the scientist in me!

BUT..... with 2 days of sleet and one more day coming, I LOOK for things to bake in my oven to generate more heat in the house.

Good morning! The biscotti look good - I was feeling a little blah the other day so I make some banana bread. That did the trick!

The biscotti looks delicious and the white chocolate drizzled on top really is the right touch! Love the quotes. I love to bake, its therapeutic and fun to share with others!

I like Julia Child's quote Kathy. We do bake, and lots of it around holiday time. I like the way you and Larry share your goodies with others!

Kathy, those look so good, and wish I was talented in that area, but NOPE.

Rick is a very good cook and, like you, he has his own private kitchen clean up fairy.

OK...so when I get to Katy, TX can Larry save me some of those cranberry-pistachio biscotti? bahahahaha

Larry's biscotti is beautiful, Kathy. I love to cook, but there are two things that I find other family members cook better.  That's meat and also baked goods.  And, always I have found, men cook best when flames and swords are involved.

Larry is a good man!  I made biscotti once many years ago.  It turned out great so, of course, I have never made it again.  🤣

Following Directions? As Frank Sinatra sang, "I did it my way!" Mistakes, I made a few, but I always did it my way...it is just the cookies just don't taste as good...my way

Hello Kathy, you know I like to bake and cook and no my wife way is to call Chinese restaurant.

I might need to sign up for some of Larry's lessons. I have missed the baking by Dolores. She is still at the rehab facility until she is able to handle the walking and steps at home.

My wife does a great job of baking and sharing. She bakes and shares it with me.

Biscotti is just another weakness for me.  I can't even imagine what a wonderful taste that fresh biscotti would have. Yum.  Kudos to Larry!

Kathy good for Larry.  As for me I have been banned from the kitchen ..... LOL

Kathy Streib  the headline scarred me living in California we get nervous about shaking and baking.... it implies earthquakes.... now with that said as I ventured further into your post I am a cook and not a baker.... totally agree baking you have to be precise cooking there is a lot of leaway 

Those quotes are great - the last one especially lol! You have very lucky friends and family to be the recipients of Larry's baking!
