February is 2023 San Diego Museum Month
San Diego Museum Month starts today, with terrific museum benefits you might want to take advantage of throughout February.
San Diego Museum Month is a wonderful opportunity! You can obtain discounts at over 60 museums, historic sites, and venues throughout San Diego until the 28th.
It’s easy - just pick up your discount pass at one of the 75 San Diego Libraries (county libraries, public libraries, and community libraries). You’ll receive 50% off the cost of regular admission for up to 4 people. You may find some other special offers, too.
Keep in mind that certain special programs and exhibits may have other admission fees. Furthermore, some exhibits might not qualify for a discount. It’s wise to check with the venue first to see if there are limitations.
Are you a Carlsbad resident? Grab your discount passes at one of the 3 City of Carlsbad library locations:
Dove Library (La Costa area) at 1775 Dove Lane off El Camino Real
Library Learning Center at 3368 Eureka Place
Georgina Cole Library east of the Village at 1250 Carlsbad Village Drive
You have until February 28 to use them. Discount passes may be used more than once, although the number of visits to a particular museum may be restricted.
There is no cost for these discount passes and the rewards are pretty substantial.
Participating museums and historic sites are all members of the San Diego Museum Council. What a terrific opportunity in February 2023 to enjoy your favorites, plus explore museums you haven’t visited.
In Carlsbad you can enjoy the Museum of Making Music (this is definitely worth a visit - see slideshow below) and the Miniature Engineering Craftsmanship Museum.
Nearby, visit the California Surf Museum and Mission San Luis Rey in Oceanside, and the San Diego Botanic Garden in Encinitas.
San Diego Museum Month offers a wealth of opportunities. Don’t miss out!
