What to do on a Texas Snow Day

Now those of you up north, don't laugh at us wimpy Texans! We are frozen in and we are not equipped like you. And, we are under a solid sheet of ice that provides zero traction.

We have been in now for two days and it appears that we will have at least one more day of this tomorrow. Then, we can thaw out and get back to our regular schedules. But for now, we just have to wait it out.

Here are some Snow Day Suggestions:

1. Read that book that has been sitting on your bedside!

2. Play some board games.

3. Clean out those closets & drawers.

4. Engage in some crafts you have been wanting to start.

5. Call your friends for some good old-fashion conversations.

6. Clean out your garage.

7. Clean the oven, the refrigerator, and the freezer.

8. Watch some classic movies.

9. Write letters.

10. Catch up on your sleep.

Take advantage of these days when you can. We rarely get days where we have the opportunity to "just be". Happy Snow Day!

Hello Paula - I certainly can understand how weather can impact a regular routine.  A trace of rain on a car windshield is a sure sign that StormWatch will be on alert in our area.  Get warm.  Stay happy.  Be positive.

I know, Joan Cox, I was up in your neck of the woods during Christmas. It was beautiful, snow everywhere. We just are not equipped to handle this mess.

Nice that you get to appreciate some of the white stuff, and better for your area that it shouldn't last too long

Great advice, Paula.. since you don't get all that many snow days, I'm sure people often struggle with what to do while they wait for things to melt.

Hey there, Jeff Masich-Scottsdale AZ Associate Broker,MBA,GRI - the problem would be actually getting onto the road right now. It's very hilly where we live and there are numerous cars sitting in ditches because they thought they could navigate the roads.
