The weather is the number one reason I hear from potential buyers deciding to call The Villages, Florida home. I do get a few current Florida residents that are making the move for The Villages Lifestyle but most inquires I get come from Northern States!
Fifteen years ago, I walked outside in Hershey, Pennsylvania in mid-November and it was 38 degrees, misting rain and the clouds were at tree level. To compound things, I had just returned from Orlando from being a speaker at the NAR fall convention and spent a week in Central Florida. At that moment in my life I decided I was done with winter!
I drove to my condo in Ocean City Maryland, packed my car and what didn’t fit I gave away, sold and two weeks later I am headed south on Interstate 95 to Florida.
Today the news is ice storms, extreme cold hitting many parts of the country and I will be selling real estate in resort casual (shorts and sport shirt) in my golf cart. Sound appealing? Come on down!
