Groundhog Day In Arizona
What Does Groundhog Day Mean To Me and Other Zonies
When you live in Arizona, for that matter any sunbelt state, you really don't think of winter the same way as others who live in colder climates. I am very thankful for our moderate winter temps.
But there is a special significance to Groundhog Day. We are halfway to spring. Yea! Also, Valentine's Day is coming up and the days are starting to get more daylight. I was in the garden this morning and I could see signs of spring in the air.
It will be 75º at the Superbowl in Glendale AZ, just ten days from now.

This year it has been a little colder than normal. In fact, I can't ever remember when snow on the ground lasted more than a few days. Normally, if it snows in the morning it is gone by the afternoon! This last group of storms saw snow on the ground for two weeks straight.
We finally got a little rain at the end of January and it washed all the remaining snow away. This is the view out my bedroom window back on January 23rd.

Decided to leave on January 30th!!
Of course, I will take this view every day of the week.
I love the Movie Groundhog Day. I can see it over and over and over!
Happy Groundhog Day!
