Dawn in the Gulf of Mexico

I peeked out the window early morning and although I had missed the break of dawn, I still saw a glimpse of the sunlight somewhat blocked by a cloud.

We are headed to the Panama Canal for a view, The ship won't cross through to the Pacific, but I am hoping to be able to see the ship changing elevation though one of the locks.

Today we are going to stop in Limon, Costa Rica for an excursion through the rain forest.

When opportunity presents itself, reach for the ring. Life is too short.

One of the most interesting things we've done is at "Soo Locks" at Sioux St. Marie ,that connect Lake Superior to Lake Huron. It was fascinating watching the tankers go through the locks in a covered viewing area.

You should be able to see the changing elevation of the locks..it is quite intriguing! You should enjoy the excursion through the rain forest in Costa Rica..watch out for the Howler monkeys!! they are so fun to see and hear!

Hi Ed Silva - How fun!

When we took a Panama Canal cruise, our ship didn't go through the locks but we were able to do an excursion on a smaller boat that started in the Pacific and went through the locks back to the ship. It was a lot of fun.
