Smiles are Contagious!

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Greenville Central

There are way too many unhappy people in this world! Every day, no matter where you go, you will cross paths with people that are obviously having a bad day. Cashiers at the grocery store, waitresses, and people everywhere (especially drivers going down the road!!) just find it so hard to smile. We don't know what they may be going through, and we don't have to know, but we have such an effective gift that we can offer them and that is a simple smile! Try it...smile at someone and see if they smile back.  In most cases, you will get the gift returned! Smiles are contagious and they cost absolutely nothing!!

I could not agree more!  I try hard to always smile, greet people and look them in the eye and say have a great day!  Many clerks are so shocked they smile back quickly.

I took a Dale Carnegie course several years ago and one of the things they said to do was smile when you talk on the phone to someone.  It will come through the phone.  Fake it until you make it.  It eventually becomes a habit.  Smiling is so much easier than frowing.

A smile can change your whole physiology.  Why not share a smile?  Great reminder and it is priceless!   You have a nice smile in your picture.  A natural reaction is to smile back!  See, you have already started a smile reaction!!!

Happy 4th of July!

Dear Connie,

Thanks for responding to my first blog. Please keep commenting on my own blog and if you have any pointers I'll gladly take them.

I agree smiling is a great way of making everyone smile around you. most people will look at others for their own mood.

Best regards,

I just finished a book called Life is Short-Wear your Party Pants...it talks about how important smiling as well as being balanced in life is to our mental health.  It gives great tips towards leading an amazing life.

Not only a smile but a nice word or even a hello makes people feel better.
