Throwback Thursdays…Finding the New from the Old.
Anna Banana Kruchten Phoenix Broker and Margaret Rome Baltimore 410-530-2400 had some fun looking back at their Top 10 Posts from 2010 and 2022 respectively.
Unfortunately, I made the mistake of going down the proverbial rabbit hole and began surfing the statistical View and Comments waves.
I began by looking at posts that had the fewest number of views. However, after closer inspection, I realized that these were for the most part Members Only posts that I’d written. It stands to reason that their views would be fewer.
My surfing did not stop there and I continued to wander. There were some posts that I’d forgotten I’d written. I also found some that I thought were pretty interesting but did not receive many views.
Want to journey down your own blog post rabbit hole?
Go to your HOME page.
On the left side of the page, scroll down to Traffic (Stats) and click.
On the right, you’ll see a chart…
You can click on the DATE, for example, and sort your posts from most recent to your first posts.
This is a good way to hunt for ideas for posts. You can also redesign a post you wrote years ago that needs a fresh take.
Just because you’ve already covered a topic, doesn’t mean you can never write about it again. Not everyone has read your post and if they did, they may not remember it. Heck…I don’t remember every post I’ve written.
Have fun traveling down and around the rabbit hole!
Looking back is a way to sharpen the focus on the things you want to change in your life. I think there's something about nostalgia that really puts a fine point on the here-and-now, and that can be incredibly fascinating and interesting and engaging for the mind. Sarah Paulson
