Easy to tout your success, easy to blame others for your failure

By

In March of 2012 I wrote the following post:

Ever notice how quickly some people are willing to tell you about their successes? Ever notice how some people are hesitant to tell you about their failures? It is somewhat humorous how that seems to work out. The fact is we should take the credit for our successes and equally, accept the blame for our failures.

It is with this in mind that I offer today's affirmation: "I am the producer of my circumstances, not the product of them."

Do you accept the blame for your failures? Do you work hard to overcome your failures? Do you create your circumstances? What say you?

Enjoy your day.

I love this Wayne- i've always had a tremendous amount of admiration for anyone who steps up to admit a mistake or discuss a failure. I also love what you offered for a daily affirmation... I am the producer of my circumstances, not the product of them.

Wayne it is so easy to bang my chest with my heroic endeavors, a bit difficult to eat humble pie. What a great post and it still stands the test of time, Endre

Well everything we have is a blessing from God, that is a good place to start and acknowledge our creator first.

Good morning, Wayne, again. You'll get no argument from me. It's important to remember that often successes are actually a by-product of failures.

Bingo - if you don't try you have already failed.

It is indeed hard to own up to failures but doing so is the way to growth.

Hello Wayne -this is food for thought.  Especially for those who gained so much from gluttony.

Great affirmation and yes we are the person responsible for our own success.

It has been said when asked about failure to invent a light bulb, Edison said he learned 10,000 ways that didn't work.

This continues to be outstanding advice to share.

Many of us should probably update some of our best old blog posts.

This is an excellent affirmation, Wayne! And it IS important to own up to our mistakes rather than blaming others.

When we mess up - fess up!  Make it right.  And my thought is that messing up isn't a bad thing but rather an opportunity to do things differently.  Keep em coming Wayne - I'm enjoying your posts!

Wayne, I have come across lots of quotes on being truthful and honest with ourselves and others.  Look truth squarely in the face and no big deal to be honest about our failed experiments and experiences in life.  Hey, I'm working on them....
I like this quote by Wiadimir Klitschko:
"The whole key is to be honest with yourself, find the weak spots,
work on it, get it done."

Wayne Martin - Wise words indeed!
