Camp Verde, AZ - Montezuma's Castle got its name from early settlers in the area. They thought that this was built by Montezuma (the Aztec mythical hero). In fact, it was built by the Sinagua between 1100 to 1350 A.D. By 1425 A.D., the Sinagua were gone. They were hunters and farmers. Modern theory is they left because the natural resources became depleted.
Verde Valley residents normally think of Montezuma's Castle when cliff dwelling is mentioned.

Cliff Dwelling - Located In Red Rock Loop Area
I was checking out a lot in the Red Rock Loop area of West Sedona to give a client an estimated price to list when I happened to see this cliff dwelling. Needless to say, it sparked a whole lot of questions. Where is the access road? How did they build it? What are the views like?
It is not for sale, but if it was, is this a home you could live in? This a fairly unusual sight to see on the side of a red rock cliff! I don't think I can find anything in Sedona or the Verde Valley that would compare to it.

Median Days on Market = 119 - Trending higher
Inventory = 59 - Trending lower
Home sales continue to outstrip supply and the Market Action Index has been moving higher for several weeks. This is a Seller’s market so watch for upward pricing pressure in the near future if the trend continues.
