Whiskey's Wisdom: Do You Hear A Drip?

Hello Thomas - water can be our friend but it can "turn" and become a foe with little to no warning.  Finding humor is often necessary especially when it seems crying might be more in order.

Not what you want to come too but it can be repaired and fixed. Keeping unsettling events in perspective is the best way to handle them. I agree that finding some humor will go further in accepting and working through the process the best way! 

Oh, wow, I am sorry to hear about that.  It certainly looks different than when I saw it.  You are right, that is what insurance is for!

The worst plumping leak I have witnessed, was in a vacant home I had listed back in the 1980s.  The home had a sunken living room.  It was winter time, and the market was slow moving at the time.  I had clients who wanted to view it. I opened the door and found the living room had become a swimming pool.  It was alarming.  A leak had sprung under the kitchen sink, gone down the hall and made its pool.  Hardwood floors needed replacing.  It was a mess.  Homeowners insurance wouldn't cover the loss because the home had been vacant more than 30 days.

Hi Thomas- love Whiskey!!!  We have to learn how to laugh at times like these. We do what we can and try to find some humor in it.

Life is too short to sit and pine and wonder how you're going to get through the tough times. We should never complain when we have insurance and our health! Must remember, that's why we pay for insurance and why we need to take care of our health. We should never skimp and cut corners when it comes to buying insurance or eating properly.  

This was a good time to go out to dinner and even a better time to find the humor and forget about the worries.

Finding humor in stressful situations has always been a saving grace in my family. 

How fortunate that you caught it before it destroyed the house.  We came home from vacation to find the bedroom ceiling all over the bed.  The roof had developed a crack

Yes, that was quite a night! The best thing we did was go to dinner after trying to soak up the water for 3 hours! You make me laugh everyday, so I am grateful that I have you to get me through these times.  This too shall pass.
