The ActiveRain Development Team announced a maintenance update they would be performing to the site late yesterday. However, what they did not expect was the barrage of old e-mails notifications the update would produce. Apparently many of us had old e-mail notifications that were stuck in our pipeline. I must of been one of the ones who was abundantly blessed with a multitude of these notifications, because all night long my e-mail inbox was going off like a machine gun. By the time the ActiveRain Development Team was notified by members this was happening, my inbox had received 2007 e-mails.

So if you woke-up this morning to an e-mail inbox overflowing with ActiveRain notifications, and have not seen the two blogs posted by the ActiveRain Development Team this is what happened. Thank you ActiveRain Development Team for putting a stop the the notifications.

Hi George I figured the whole mess happened do the maintenance going on. All fixed now and that's a good thing! I had to laugh when I woke up and saw them all.....what the heck. Then I realized what had happened.

Yes, that full mailbox was a bit startling. It took some time to delete them all.

I don't mind if it means we'll get those notifications going forward. I've missed that feature.

George Souto - I woke up to the abundance of emails too. I had to laugh at what Hannah Williams had to say.

I knew they were working on maintenance and did not freak out. Actually, I read one of my Titles, which I couldn't remember writing some time ago. I thought there was a mistake so I looked, and sure enough, it was my post I wrote with deep concerns. Since then, I did further research on my concerning post and soon, I will be writing more about a very important topic after finding out newer information. For me, it was a good thing!

The emails were easy to delete, but getting rid of the notifications on my homepage is going to be an uphill battle, haha. Usually, when that happens it means that they got rid of some gremlins and the scheduler is working again, but that is not yet the case. I think the gremilns really wreaked some havoc in the Rain this time.
