Good afternoon Myrl,
I love this heartwarming post to friends obviously for life! Such endearing photos and you have demonstrated unequivocally that relationships can change, they evolve, but they don't need to be destroyed. They can continue to be more treasured with each coming day!

That sounds like a fun evening!
Sure hope there are lakes and reservoirs to capture that rain and snowmelt for future use.

Thank you so much for the inclusion on your special "Posts Just For You" list, Kathy!
Myrl Jeffcoat - I love this beautiful story you shared about how the five of you "managed to keep love as treasure." Through love and war, sickness and in health, children, divorce, new marriages, and grandchildren your bonds grew stronger without hatred, being distanced from each other, or regrets. And to think it started when you were born and you all connected to each other from the same neighborhood, schools, and environment. And your love for each other continued to grow all of your lives.
Happy Birthday to all of you. This is one of the most beautiful human interest stories that I ever read. It could be a feature story in something like Reader's Digest.

Sheri Sperry - MCNE® - I think the longer we shuffle around this earth, we realize it is the relationships we forge that provide the most treasure.
Dorie Dillard Austin TX - I appreciate that you came back for seconds.😊
George Souto - I have special relationships that are so old that I barely remember when they began.
faye schubert - Thus far, water management seems to be doing a great job managing our dams. They let out enough water to make room for the melting snowpack, but not so much that it floods us downstream.

Kat Palmiotti - It really was a heartwarming evening in that special barn. It couldn't have been better.
Roy Kelley - Thank you for your well wishes and comment.
Dr. Paula McDonald - Spending time with our old friends and associates takes us back to kinder times.
Kathy Streib - Thank you for including me in your special list of posts to read, this week.

Endre Barath, Jr. - That evening, while sitting in a comfortable chair in that barn, with the fire pit blazing, I looked around that room in almost disbelief at the years that had passed. There were children (now grown) with grandchildren( darn near grown), and they had all emanated from us.
Jane Chaulklin-Schott - I think when you come of a certain age, you realize there's little time left for hate!
Patricia Feager, MBA, CRS, GRI,MRP - I can clearly say, my ex-husband, John, I have known longer than I can remember. I do remember the first memory though. He was about 6 or so, he had been a stutterer when very young. My mom asked him how he stopped. He replied that he thought about what he was going to say before saying it. I don't recall him ever stuttering again.

Myrl Jeffcoat - your memories of John, your marriage, children, and friends reminds me of those Precious Moments figurines. My mom used to collect Precious Moments but I don't know what happened to her large collection.
If someone could make it possible to get the artist to make figurines of each of you as the group, it would remain a treasure forever.
The message to me is, when there is love, united you stand together forever.
Myrl Jeffcoat what a beautiful story! There are some friendships that we are lucky enough to enjoy our whole life. So glad Kathy Streib featured this as I missed it and I have always enjoyed you stories

Sometimes just being very good friends is a better relationship than being married. When kids are involved, it is not good to be adversaries, regardless of how old the kids may be.
It tooks a while for me to be able to smooth over the rough edges with my husband's first wife but we finally got there. Not nearly as good as your relationships on your court! but it is so important to get along.
