Real Estate Agents: Turn Your Clients Into Raving Fans

As real estate agents, no matter how great your service is, it can be tricky to get your clients to give testimonials. Many people don't like talking about themselves—even when they have something great to say. But don't worry; there are ways you can get your clients excited about giving their feedback and singing your praises. Let's take a look at some of the most effective methods. 

We are big fans of automating whatever we can, and that includes the process of collecting and managing our testimonials and reviews. After all, being able to use these reviews to your greatest advantage to promote you and your business is why we ask for reviews in the first place!

The key to getting your customers to leave positive reviews is by making it as easy and accessible as humanly possible. If it isn't user-friendly or seems like it's going to take some time, your clients are going to put it off for later and, if we're being realistic, will likely never come back to it. 

My preference is to take a quick video at closing to commemorate the moment. Clients are generally pretty happy and excited about being homeowners. Taking 60 seconds to ask your clients a couple of quick questions about how they are feeling right now and how they felt about working with you can give you some excellent reviews. You can then share this video with them after and post it to your social media.

Getting great testimonials from satisfied real estate clients doesn't have to be hard—it just takes some thoughtful planning and appreciation! Make sure that when requesting feedback from former clients, you make it easy for them by providing specific questions and letting them know how much their opinion matters. With these tips in mind, there is no doubt that soon enough, your list of raving fans ready and willing to share their experiences will start growing exponentially!

I'm such a chicken when it comes to video.  I've had great luck getting Realtor.com, Google Reviews and even some on Yelp.  The trick, I think, is to immediately send out a request for a review either the day of closing or day after.  Maybe even the day before closing so that it happens right away.
