Hi everyone, long time no post! In fact I just looked at my profile and it was 5 years our of date so what brings me back? Artificial Intelligence. I have been reading some negative comments are AI and I think you may be missing the boat and you definitely want to sail with this one. You have been using AI for quite some time although it is better to say that you were using narrow machine learning. Siri, Spell Check, Amazon sending you suggestions are just a few. I use G Suite the paid for gmail and it finished my sentences knowing how I write. My CRM Salesforce with the Pardot marketing add on uses their own AI that automates processes that is so great that it allows my wife and I to live in Florida, have one assistant in Oklahoma and sell $50 to 60 Million per year in Oklahoma real estate. I did visit Oklahoma for one week last year. Am I enthusiastic about AI? You bet. I am now using the lasted ChatGPT-4 that was just launched. Before that I was using the 3 version. I pay for the Plus version so I am always on. I asked Chat to give me five reasons why I should buy investment real estate in Oklahoma City and it gave me five great reasons specific to my city plus a summary page with the disclaimer, do your do diligence. This took 10 seconds. Is time money? You bet. My Google Drive which we use for business disappeared again from my Mac finder and I normally have to use an online expert to restore it for an $80 charge. Solved it easily. Maybe money is time too. I am putting together a 27 video series that will be a paid for series on Kajabi. I designed the videos but i asked Chat to do it. They gave me 27 good ones in 25 seconds. Did I mention that time is money, oh yeah.
Of course there is peril in this. We all remember when Facebook was a safe and fun place before we decided that de-friending was our number one goal. FYI, I still use Facebook so let's be honest. A tool in the hand of an artist is a Monet. A tool in the hand of a madman is serial killing. I do worry that in this arms race among tech companies that crony capitalism will triumph over goodness and control. AI will give bad players an ability to run amok with us unless some guardrails are put in place. For me, ChatGPT-4 and Bard and Sparrow from Google and everyone else spending billions on this will make for a fascinating time and a dangerous time. For me, the ability to do research, to get vital information on economics and demographics to my investors is worth all the peril that may occur. To ignore AI is like the ones that said the internet was a fad. One last thing, do you remember Moore's Law? It was the power of a chip doubles in capacity every 18 months. AI's capacity is doubling every six months. Will it be human? of course not at least not in our lifetime. Singularity is estimated to be 2045 to 2075 but that doesn't make it human. All I know is that it makes me smarter, faster, and will result in more business.
Caveat: Be careful about plagiarism. AI doesn't attribute sources. Also when you use it me sure to humanize it and make it in your own voice. Ignore it at your peril and please use it to create great art. In that regard I am now taking a picture of our 4 month old toy poodle and taking it to Dall-E and having it do a painting in the style of Van Gogh. Have fun and be careful out there.
