This Week…The Madness of March

Good morning, Kathy.... I'm all about team work. That being said, I can't say I follow any teams during March Madness, although I am aware that Purdue lost yesterday to a school I'm very familiar with as many of my high school friends attended FDU.

Love college sports! Just can't beat it for the excitement, the teamwork, the support of fans for the game.

Unfortuately we've got a long rebuild for my Men's basketball LSU Tigers, BUT

Kim Mulkey ( from Louisiana Tech and Baylor success) has turned Women's Basketball to a real team and very exciting to watch.

Hello Kathy - while I have been known to have an association with madness at times, I haven't ever competed in choosing brackets or witnessed the collapse of them.  Of course, there was a time many years ago when the headgear I was instructed to wear by my orthodontist created its own collapse of my limited social life as a pre-tween.  Of course, I digress. . .

Enjoy the games - as if I understand it - it's not over, until it's over.  Or someone sings or something like that.

Kathy, I don't follow basketball at all, have no idea what schools are in or out.

The upsets took center stage and out of millions that filled out brackets, less than 1,000 are still viable. Losing a 1 and 2 in the first day is historic.

There have been some huge upsets already and sadly my team was one of them and it causes me to lose a bit of interest in the tourney, haha.

I saw a number of teams were eliminated Kathy, so there are lots of unhappy fans to start off with.

Hello Kathy, I had Purdue and Arizona and both lost, I missed my tradition of being at a sports bar for Thursday and Friday with my Grandkids in from Ohio.

I appreciate that you and Larry enjoy the sport together Kathy Streib . The only time I watch a sport on TV it's Vikings football but I always watch alone. I seldom watch more than a quarter BUT if my spouse would sit down with me I'd enjoy more of the game.

Back in the late '40s my dad played hoops for Wichita State, so I grew up with basketball.  I don't follow it now but I did see on the news that Arizona and the number 4 seed both lost in the first round.  That had to be a huge bracket buster!

Kathy I do not follow the UCONN Men much, but I watch all of the UCONN Women games.  They finally have most of the team back, so I think their chances are pretty good.

Michael is enjoying March Madness and has been catching the games in between working outside today. I do like Charles Barkley's quote, Kathy, that is a good attitude to carry!

I don't know anything about March Madness - I've never gotten into basketball. That being said, I like the excitement in your post and the quotes!
